Three Dead and Injured in Northern Thailand Blast; Two Suspects Arrested

A celebration in On Daeng, Tak Province, Thailand, was disrupted when a homemade improvised explosive device (IED) was thrown into the crowd. Concurrently, another explosion in northern Thailand resulted in three deaths and multiple injuries. Two suspects have been arrested by the police. The blast occurred just before midnight yesterday (13th) in On Daeng, a town in Tak Province that borders an immigrant area. At the time of the incident, a local celebration was taking place, and the IED was thrown into the crowd, with at least 48 people estimated to be injured.
Local police stated that prior to the explosion, there was a fight between two individuals at the scene. An investigation is underway.
