International Horticultural Exhibition 2024 Chengdu Appears at Chongqing Chrysanthemum Exhibition

On the morning of October 26th, the 25th Chongqing Chrysanthemum Art Exhibition was grandly held at Chongqing Nanshan Botanical Garden. This exhibition features exquisite art, diverse forms, and fantastic content. For example, the ship shape design of distinctive “river city” features of Chongqing have attracted many citizens and tourists to come to the exhibition. In this exhibition, Chengdu People's Park was also invited to participate, bringing a unique exhibition and using this as an opportunity to promote the International Horticultural Exhibition 2024 Chengdu.

At the entrance of the Chengdu Exhibition Garden, the mascot of the International Horticultural Exhibition 2024, "Tong Mei", sent a sincere invitation to the guests for the International Horticultural Exhibition 2024 Chengdu. At the promotion meeting, representatives of the Executive Committee of the International Horticultural Exhibition 2024 Chengdu, representatives of the Eastern New Area of the main venue, national Gold Medal tour guides, and Tianfu Tourism Famous Guides introduced the International Horticultural Exhibition 2024 Chengdu to the attending guests and citizens. We look forward to gathering in Chengdu next April to share the world horticultural feast.

The scenery of Chengdu Exhibition Area is taken from the beautiful Anshun Lounge Bridge above the Jinjiang River in Chengdu. The scroll is engraved with the "Lounge Bridge Ode" written by the lyricist Wei Minglun. The scenic spot features chrysanthemums as the theme, and uses characteristic elements such as the national treasure giant panda and the city flower hibiscus to create a beautiful landscape of "Sichuan mountains and rivers fusing he beauty of chrysanthemums at the Lounge Bridge", fully showcasing the park city's colorful picture of "Painting Tianfu culture as a mural and carving the beautiful scenery of Chengdu into reliefs".

The International Horticultural Exhibition 2024 Chengdu, with the theme of "Beautiful Life in Park City", will open on April 26th, 2024 in Chengdu and close on October 28th, with a duration of 186 days. The main venue is located in the beautiful Jiangxi River Ecological Corridor in the Eastern New Area of Chengdu, clustering along Longquan Mountain and lying near Sancha Lake, with a planned area of 3633 acres. Four themed sub venues have been planned and constructed simultaneously: Modern Agronomy in Xinjin, Sichuan Style Bonsai in Wenjiang, Flower Industry in Pidu, and Biodiversity Protection in Qionglai. In the form of a "Horticultural Concerto", the unique Chinese horticultural culture and a picture of the new era of beautiful China are showcased. At that time, the main and sub venues will host thousands of wonderful garden events, flower events, competitions, and cultural activities, to celebrate with horticultural enthusiasts from all over the world.

The International Horticultural Exhibition is the highest level professional international expo in the horticultural industry. The Exhibition to be held in Chengdu is a vivid practice of implementing President Xi’s ecological civilization ideology and constructing a park city demonstration area that practices the new development concept in Chengdu. Known as the "Olympic" event in the field of flower and horticulture worldwide, it has a history of over 60 years. At present, the preparatory work for the International Horticultural Exhibition 2024 Chengdu is fully underway.

At the promotion meeting, the Eastern New Area of Chengdu also released a list of opportunities for the International Horticultural Exhibition. The national Gold Medal Tour Guides and Tianfu Tourism Famous Guides released the unique cultural and tourism routes of the International Horticultural Exhibition, allowing the on-site audience to have a deeper understanding of the International Horticultural Exhibition 2024 Chengdu.
